Recruiting Solutions is seeking Slitter Machine Operators for a local manufacturing company located in Spartanburg, SC. This is a temp to hire position and offers a competitive starting salary of $17.50/hr with a potential pay bump when hired on!

The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to load and unload the machine using a hoist support system, perform change overs using set up data as outlined on the product set-up sheet, and have the ability to perform multiple inline material splices. You must also be able to work a Monday through Friday day or night shift schedule.

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and resolve routine production issues in a timely fashion while operating the slitter in a manufacturing environment.
Load and unload paper rolls into the machine as required.
Closely monitor machine operation to ensure set-up data accuracy.
Set up and perform change overs as required.
Ability to accurately maintain all production related paperwork on a shift basis.
Routinely operate a forklift to transport raw materials or finished rolls.

Machine Operator Qualifications:

Previous experience in machine operation, having direct slitter experience is a plus.
Familiarity with machine set up, start up, troubleshooting, and change overs.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
Experience with operating machines that work with paper and/or flexible plastic film.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
High School Diploma or GED required.
