Tool and Die Maker Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate toolroom equipment, including lathes, grinders, and mills
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble progressive and single-hit stamping dies
• Precisely fit, align, and assemble components to meet tight dimensional tolerances
• Perform surface grinding and polishing on flat and contoured parts
• Troubleshoot dies and implement modifications to improve performance
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve design or material issues
• Maintain accurate records of tool maintenance and modifications
• Provide support and mentorship to apprentices as needed

Tool and Die Maker Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a metal stamping tool and die environment
• Experience with progressive dies strongly preferred
• Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification is a plus
• Must have own measuring tools and hand tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and blueprint reading ability
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs and operating lift equipment (training provided)
