Records Assistant
We are seeking a Records Assistant to assist with organizing and maintaining student records for the district. This project-based role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
Responsibilities:

Review and organize physical student records by school name and alphabetical order.

Separate and label special record types such as graduating cohort lists, class rank documents, and cumulative files.

Identify missing or incomplete student files and maintain a checklist of required documents.

Re-box and label files using new Bankers boxes and file folders as needed.

Create and maintain an inventory log of stored records by school and category.

Ensure storage areas remain organized, safe, and compliant with district recordkeeping standards.

Report progress and any issues related to record condition or storage to the supervising staff.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to lift, carry, and move boxes up to 40 lbs.

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive student information.

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Strong commitment to meeting project timelines while maintaining confidentiality and record security.
Preferred Experience
-
Previous experience in clerical, records management, or office support roles.

Familiarity with educational records or student cumulative files.

Basic knowledge of inventory tracking or file organization systems
